A supportive secondary school in Harrow is seeking a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant from September 2026 until July 2027. This role is ideal for an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist looking to work with pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Autism and other SEND.
The Role:
- Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Deliver speech, language and communication interventions.
- Work alongside teachers, the SENDCo and external therapists.
- Monitor progress and contribute to personalised support plans.
Person Specification:
- Graduate with ambitions of becoming a SaLT.
- A minimum 2:1 Psychology degree from a Russell Group University is highly desirable.
- Strong A-Level and GCSE academic profile.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is advantageous.
- A genuine ambition to pursue a career in SaLT or a related profession.
