Are you a recent Sociology graduate looking to support young people's social development and emotional wellbeing? A supportive secondary school in Hounslow is searching for a Sociology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their SEND and Pastoral team in September. This role is ideal for someone interested in youth work, social care or education, and keen to gain practical experience in a school setting.

As a Sociology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with students who have SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, ASC, and ADHD diagnoses. You'll provide 1:1 mentoring, deliver small group intervention sessions, and work alongside SENCOs and external professionals to promote positive outcomes for pupils.

Key Duties:

  • Support students with behaviour, emotional regulation, and social skills
  • Deliver targeted interventions and group sessions
  • Monitor pupil progress in collaboration with pastoral staff
  • Contribute to behaviour strategies and EHCP target-setting
