This well-established Pupil Referral Unit in the London Borough of Newham is seeking a resilient and inspiring PRU English Teacher to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. Supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and complex barriers to learning, the school provides a therapeutic and highly structured environment where positive relationships are at the heart of every success.

What the Role Involves
Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons that re-engage students who may have become disengaged from education. As a PRU English Teacher, you'll adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs while promoting literacy, communication and self-confidence. You'll work closely with Behaviour Mentors, pastoral teams and external professionals to help pupils achieve both academically and personally.

The ideal PRU English Teacher will hold QTS and have experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4. Previous experience within a PRU, SEMH school or Alternative Provision would be advantageous, although strong mainstream teachers with exceptional behaviour management are encouraged to apply.
