This oversubscribed secondary school educates approximately 850 pupils aged 11-19, including a growing sixth form. Around 15% of pupils receive SEND support, with tailored interventions helping students achieve strong outcomes. Students consistently achieve results above national averages, with strong progress measures across a range of subjects. As an Aspiring English Teacher, you will:

• Support pupils across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
• Deliver targeted interventions to raise attainment in English Language and Literature
• Work with small groups and individual students to accelerate progress
• Assist teachers with lesson planning, resource preparation and classroom delivery
• Support students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations
• Help foster a love of reading, writing and critical thinking

Applicants should hold a minimum 2:1 degree in English or a related subject. Strong GCSE and A-Level results are highly desirable. Previous experience working with young people is advantageous. Candidates should possess excellent communication and organisational skills, along with a genuine passion for English and future teaching aspirations.
