This oversubscribed secondary school educates approximately 850 pupils aged 11-19, including a growing sixth form. Around 15% of pupils receive SEND support, with tailored interventions helping students achieve strong outcomes. Students consistently achieve results above national averages, with strong progress measures across a range of subjects. Located in Wandsworth, with excellent transport links across South West London, the Aspiring English Teacher will support pupils across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, delivering targeted interventions to raise attainment in English Language and Literature. The role involves working with small groups and individual students to accelerate progress, assisting teachers with lesson planning, resource preparation and classroom delivery, and supporting students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations. Applicants should hold a minimum 2:1 degree in English or a related subject. Strong GCSE and A-Level results are highly desirable. Previous experience working with young people is advantageous.
