A well-established secondary school in Potters Bar is looking for a Cover Supervisor to start as soon as possible. Youll cover 1-2 lessons per day, ensuring students remain focused and engaged, and work as a Teaching Assistant when not covering lessons.

Contract: Full-time, term time

Year Groups: Year 7-Year 11
Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:
Cover lessons across Years 7-11, following the work and resources provided by the class teacher.
Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain on task.
Support students with their learning and provide additional help where needed.
Work as a Teaching Assistant when not covering lessons, supporting teachers and students across the school.

The Ideal Cover Supervisor:
Strong academic background, with a minimum 2:1 degree.
Ideally strong A-Level results and good GCSE grades.
Confident and comfortable managing a classroom.
Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
Ideally someone who is considering teacher training in the future.
