PMLD Teacher – Specialist SEN SchoolLocation: Brixton, South London Role: PMLD Teacher Setting: Specialist SEN School Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time Ribbons & Reeves are working with a specialist SEN school in Brixton that is looking for a dedicated and experienced PMLD Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is an opportunity to work within a supportive specialist environment, delivering highly personalised learning for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex additional needs. The Role As a PMLD Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, highly differentiated learning experiences based around the individual needs, abilities and communication styles of each pupil. The role goes beyond academic progress, with a strong focus on developing pupils' communication, sensory awareness, independence and physical development , as well as supporting their social and emotional wellbeing. You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists and other professionals , contributing to personalised learning plans and ensuring pupils receive consistent support throughout the school day. The Pupils The school supports pupils with complex and profound needs, which may include: PMLD Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) Complex communication needs Autism Physical disabilities Sensory needs Medical needs The successful teacher will understand the importance of small steps and individualised progress , celebrating achievements that may look different for every pupil. We're Looking For QTS or equivalent teaching qualification Experience teaching within an SEN setting Experience working with PMLD, SLD or complex needs is highly desirable Strong understanding of differentiation and personalised learning A patient, nurturing and consistent approach Confidence working as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong communication skills A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for pupils with complex needs Why This Role?
