The successful Pastoral Behaviour Support Officer will maintain a calm, organised and purposeful environment, ensuring students remain settled and focused on their work. This Pastoral Behaviour Support Officer role is ideal for someone with strong behaviour management skills who can establish clear boundaries, remain calm under pressure and support students effectively. Key Responsibilities As a Pastoral Behaviour Support Officer , you will: Manage and organise the Relocation Room Supervise students who have been removed from lessons Maintain a calm, structured and focused environment Use strong behaviour management to maintain clear expectations Support students to regulate their behaviour and remain on task Ensure students complete classwork and learning activities Support the Pastoral Leader with behaviour and pastoral interventions Hold restorative conversations with students Monitor behaviour, engagement and student progress Complete relevant administrative tasks and records Communicate with teachers, Heads of Year and senior leaders About You The school is looking for a Pastoral Behaviour Support Officer who is calm, resilient, organised and confident managing challenging behaviour. You will need excellent communication skills, strong boundaries and the ability to remain professional in difficult situations. A degree, preferably at 2:1 or above, is required, and strong A-level and GCSE results are desirable. Experience working with young people through education, mentoring, tutoring, youth work, sports or similar settings would be advantageous.
