is seeking a committed and resilient
Teaching Assistant
to join their team on a
temp-to-perm basis .
With just
7 pupils per class , subject-specific teaching and an excellent Ofsted rating, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant looking to work in a well-led PRU where pupils receive genuinely personalised support.
The Role
You will work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team to support a small group of pupils who have experienced barriers to mainstream education.
You will: Provide one-to-one and small-group support across subject-specific lessons Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils Support pupils with
SEMH, behavioural and additional learning needs Help pupils remain engaged and focused during lessons Reinforce positive behaviour and clear boundaries Support emotional regulation and confidence Assist teachers with differentiated learning and classroom activities Encourage pupils to develop independence and resilience Work closely with the pastoral and SEN teams to support individual pupils About You
The school is looking for someone who is: Experienced working with children or young people Confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs Calm, patient and consistent Able to build strong relationships while maintaining clear boundaries Resilient and adaptable Passionate about helping young people re-engage with education Experience within a
PRU, AP, SEMH school, mainstream secondary school, youth work or mentoring
environment would be highly desirable.
