is looking for a motivated and compassionate
Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
to join their team on a long-term basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate considering a future career in
SEN teaching, educational psychology, psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy or wider education and care .
The Role Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will provide targeted support to pupils with a range of additional needs.
You will: Provide
1:1 and small-group support Help pupils access and engage with classroom learning Support children with
ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties Deliver and reinforce targeted interventions Support communication, social skills and emotional regulation Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils Encourage independence, confidence and engagement Assist teachers with differentiated learning activities Support positive behaviour and maintain a calm environment Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and the wider school team The Ideal Candidate The school is looking for a graduate who is
patient, proactive, resilient and genuinely passionate about supporting young people .
A degree in
Psychology, Education, Sociology, Criminology, Childhood Studies or a related subject
would be advantageous. Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
What matters most is your
attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn . You will receive excellent exposure to specialist SEN practice while working alongside experienced professionals.
This is a
