A welcoming and inclusive school in Chelmsford is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teacher with a strong Literacy specialism to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with smaller groups and is passionate about delivering a personalised approach to learning, with a particular focus on developing pupils' literacy skills.
The Role
- Teach a small nurture class within Year 7.
- Take full responsibility for planning, assessment and pupil progress.
- Deliver engaging, personalised lessons with a strong focus on Literacy.
- Support pupils to develop their reading, writing, communication and comprehension skills.
- Provide strong pastoral support and build positive relationships with pupils.
- Help pupils transition successfully into secondary school.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
- Have a normal teaching timetable with 20% PPA.
