The role
As a Film & Media Teacher, you'll deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across KS4 and KS5, teaching a broad curriculum that develops students' understanding of film, television and digital media, alongside practical production skills. You'll also:
- Plan and deliver outstanding Film & Media lessons
- Teach areas including film analysis, media theory, production techniques and digital storytelling
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback
- Inspire creativity, critical thinking and independent learning
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop an engaging curriculum
- Contribute to enrichment activities and the wider life of the school
This permanent role starts in September 2026 and is suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers.
The ideal Film & Media Teacher will have:
- Strong subject knowledge across Film Studies and Media Studies
- Experience teaching practical and theoretical aspects of the curriculum
