that is looking for an enthusiastic

Graduate Teaching Assistant

to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain meaningful experience working with

young people with social, emotional and mental health needs , particularly those considering a future career in teaching, psychology, education, youth work or related fields.

The RoleAs a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and experienced support staff to help students access learning and make progress.

You will support students both

inside and outside the classroom , helping them develop academically while also building their confidence, communication, independence and engagement with education.

The students may have

SEMH needs, anxiety, behavioural difficulties and challenging relationships with education , so the successful candidate will need to be patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships.

You will gain valuable experience understanding how behaviour, relationships and individual circumstances can affect a young person's ability to learn.

We're Looking For

A recent

graduate

with a degree in any subject A genuine interest in working with young people An interest in

SEMH, behaviour, education or psychology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A calm, patient and consistent approach Someone who can build trust and positive relationships Resilience and confidence when dealing with challenging situations A proactive attitude and willingness to learn Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable, but

not essential Why This Role?
