At Ribbons & Reeves, we are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant for recent graduates with a therapy-related degree who are eager to gain hands-on, child-centred experience in educational settings. This role is ideal for individuals looking to deepen their understanding of therapeutic careers by working closely with experienced professionals and observing best practices in mental health support.
Schools across London are looking for passionate graduates to join their pastoral and wellbeing teams. This is a fantastic stepping stone for Aspiring Therapist and Psychology graduates or those with a strong interest in pursuing careers in therapy, mental health, or educational psychology.
The Role:- Work closely with the school's SENCO and pastoral team to support students' emotional wellbeing.
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Help develop personalised support plans for students.
- Liaise with external professionals such as CAMHS, Educational Psychologists, and school counsellors.
- Gain hands-on experience in a school setting and receive ongoing training and mentoring.
- A degree in Psychology or a related field (or in the process of completing one).
- A genuine interest in mental health and child development.
- Empathy, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential).
