KS2 Teacher Literacy Specialist Chelmsford A welcoming and inclusive school in Chelmsford is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teacher with a strong Literacy specialism to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with smaller groups and is passionate about delivering a personalised approach to learning , with a particular focus on developing pupils' literacy skills. The Role As a KS2 Teacher, you will: Teach a small nurture class within Year 7 . Take full responsibility for planning, assessment and pupil progress. Deliver engaging, personalised lessons with a strong focus on Literacy . Support pupils to develop their reading, writing, communication and comprehension skills. Provide strong pastoral support and build positive relationships with pupils. Help pupils transition successfully into secondary school. Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community. Have a normal teaching timetable with 20% PPA . What the School is Looking For The ideal KS2 Teacher will: Be a qualified teacher with experience teaching KS2 or lower secondary. Have a strong Literacy specialism and passion for developing pupils' English skills. Be nurturing, patient and confident supporting pupils in a smaller setting. Have high expectations and a commitment to pupil progress. Be passionate about personalised learning and pastoral support. Have strong classroom management and communication skills. Be legally entitled to work in the UK visa sponsorship is not available.
