We are looking for an English Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming boys secondary school in Barnet, supporting students aged 14-18 in achieving success in English while also helping those with additional learning needs.
As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support both general SEN provision and provide tailored intervention to help students thrive in English Language and Literature. You will work closely with pupils who need extra help with reading comprehension, writing, and exam preparation, supporting them through 1:1 and small group sessions.
Your responsibilities as an English Graduate Teaching Assistant will include:
- Assisting English lessons by clarifying content and encouraging pupil participation
- Leading small group literacy interventions and 1:1 tuition sessions
- Supporting students with SEND, such as Autism, ADHD, and processing difficulties
- Collaborating with the SENDCo and English department to ensure targeted progress
