The Opportunity | SEND & Maths Support Graduate
Immediate start | Full-time
Β£500 PAYE per week minimum | Term-time only
Based in Enfield, North London
60% SEND support / 40% unqualified Maths teaching
Maths teaching responsibility spread across the five-day timetable
Support pupils with complex SEND, SEMH needs and behavioural challenges
Deliver 1:1 and small-group support
Work alongside teachers, SEND staff and pastoral teams
Potential progression into salaried teacher training
The Role
The majority of your time as a SEND & Maths Support Graduate will be focused on supporting pupils with additional needs. You will provide 1:1, small-group and classroom support, helping pupils access learning and develop confidence.
You will be supporting pupils with a range of complex SEND needs, SEMH difficulties and behavioural challenges, so you will need to be calm, resilient and confident when managing challenging situations.
Alongside your SEND responsibilities, approximately 40% of your timetable will involve unqualified Maths teaching.
What We're Looking For
The school is open to graduates from any degree subject, provided you have:
A 2:1 or above in a UK Bachelor's degree
A* or A in UK A-Level Maths
A genuine interest in supporting pupils with SEND
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Resilience when supporting challenging behaviour
A patient, calm and consistent approach
Experience tutoring, mentoring, coaching or working with young people is desirable
