EAL Learning Support Assistant – Carshalton We are seeking an experienced and committed EAL Learning Support Assistant to support students with English as an Additional Language within a secondary school in Carshalton. Working alongside the EAL Learning Co-ordinator and wider teaching team, you will help students develop their English language skills and access the curriculum effectively. Develop strategies to improve students' English language skills and attainment. Adapt curriculum materials and provide reader, scribe, translation and interpreting support. Support homework and extra-support clubs, extended school activities and educational visits. Assist with EAL assessments, learning plans and documentation. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records. Build positive relationships and support students' confidence, inclusion and wellbeing. EAL Learning Support Assistant | Essential Qualities: Experience supporting students with EAL within a learning environment. A degree in MFL, Linguistics or a related subject is desirable , alongside another language. Excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
