Cover Supervisor | The Role
• Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 when teachers are absent
• Deliver pre-planned work and keep pupils focused
• Manage behaviour calmly and consistently
• Maintain a purposeful classroom environment
• Support pupils with routines, expectations and engagement
• Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders
Cover Supervisor | Candidate Requirements
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential
• Previous classroom, tutoring, coaching, mentoring or youth work experience preferred
• Confident leading a classroom of secondary-aged pupils
• Calm, firm and fair approach to behaviour management
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• Reliable, professional and able to adapt quickly
• Must be available to work in Brent secondary schools
