What the Role Involves:
- Supporting MFL teachers across KS3 and KS4 to deliver engaging, communicative French and Spanish lessons
- Working with small groups of pupils to develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in both languages
- Providing additional language support to pupils who require targeted intervention ahead of GCSE examinations
- Tracking pupil progress and feeding back regularly to the class teacher and Head of MFL
- Building confident, enthusiastic relationships with pupils to develop their love of language and cultural awareness
What the School is Looking For:
The ideal French & Spanish Teaching Assistant will hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university in Modern Languages, French, Spanish, or a closely related discipline - a UK-awarded bachelor's degree is essential for this role. Previous child-centred experience in a UK educational setting is highly valued. The school is seeking a fluent, culturally aware, and enthusiastic French & Spanish Teaching Assistant with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for language teaching.
