Work across KS3 and KS4 in a busy secondary school environment
Cover Supervisor | The Role
Supervise classes when teachers are absent
Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure pupils remain on task
Manage behaviour calmly and consistently in line with school policy
Support pupils with learning, confidence and classroom routines
Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders
Provide general classroom support when cover is not required
Cover Supervisor | Candidate Requirements
Previous Cover Supervisor, tutoring, mentoring, coaching or school-based experience preferred
Degree desirable but not essential for experienced candidates
Confident leading a classroom of secondary-aged pupils
Calm, firm and fair approach to behaviour management
Strong communication and organisation skills
Reliable, professional and able to commit consistently
