A welcoming secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a Biology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their Science department from September. This role is perfect for a Biology graduate who enjoys working with young people and wants to build school-based experience ahead of a PGCE or teacher training route.

As a Biology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils from Years 7 to 11, supporting classwork, setting up equipment for experiments, and running revision groups in topics such as cells, ecosystems and genetics. You will also support pupils with varying abilities to build confidence in practical science and theory.

Key Duties:
  • Assist during Biology lessons with in-class guidance and resource preparation
  • Organise and support practical investigations in the school science labs
  • Run small group interventions to support pupils preparing for GCSEs
  • Help develop revision resources and creative displays
