This specialist SEND school in the London Borough of Camden is seeking a creative and passionate SEN Art Teacher to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. What the Role Involves
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Art lessons to pupils with a range of additional needs, adapting learning to suit individual EHCP outcomes and learning profiles.
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and pastoral staff.
- The successful SEN Art Teacher will use creative learning to promote communication, self-expression and emotional wellbeing, while helping pupils develop confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
What the School is Looking For
- The ideal SEN Art Teacher will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching Art at secondary level.
- Previous experience within a SEND school, specialist provision or inclusive mainstream setting would be highly advantageous, although mainstream teachers with a genuine passion for SEND are encouraged to apply.
- The school is looking for a patient, creative and adaptable practitioner who can build strong relationships and inspire pupils to achieve their potential.
