Based in a welcoming Primary School setting, this role places inclusion, high expectations and early intervention at the centre of school life. As SENDCo, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring all pupils, particularly those with SEND, are supported to thrive academically, socially and emotionally from the earliest stages of their education.
As the SENDCo, you will:
- Lead and manage the school's SEND provision, ensuring inclusive practice across all key stages
- Line manage 8 support staff, providing clear direction, support and professional development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents and external professionals to identify, assess and meet a wide range of needs
- Champion high-quality provision and access to learning for pupils with SEND across the curriculum
- Develop and deliver effective staff training to strengthen inclusive classroom practice
- Ensure statutory requirements are met, with high-quality EHCPs, provision maps and individual support plans
- Use assessment and data to monitor progress, evaluate interventions and drive continuous improvement
