An exceptional First-Class Linguistics Graduate will join us as a Speech and Language Assistant in Barking & Dagenham, starting immediately and continuing through July 2025. You'll provide valuable 1:1 support to pupils with Speech and Language needs.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday

Compensation:

£444+ per week, paid on a PAYE basis, including holiday pay

Qualifications:

Ideal for Linguistics graduates, though Psychology graduates will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You’ll work closely with pupils across Reception, Year 1, and Year 2, supporting their development through engaging 1:1 sessions while collaborating with the school's SENCO to ensure a nurturing environment.
  • Providing targeted support for pupils with speech and language needs in Reception-Year 2.
  • Delivering tailored sessions to improve language comprehension, sound articulation, and active listening.
  • Assisting children with behavioural, emotional, social, and medical needs.
  • Working alongside a qualified Speech and Language Therapist one day per week.
  • Making a positive impact on children's communication skills.
