Permanent vacancy. Location: Clitheroe, Lancashire. Closing date: Wednesday 3rd June 2026. Reference: EDP120. Hours: 18.5 hours per week (Wednesday afternoons, all day Thursday and Friday).

The Council is looking to appoint a part‑time Housing Needs Officer (HNO). The primary role is to advise and assist households at risk of homelessness, delivering a range of initiatives to prevent homelessness. The post involves making home visits, inspecting properties, interviewing households, and providing daily appointments or telephone advice followed by casework.

The role involves partnership working with housing providers, care/support providers, probation service, mental health services and many other agencies. Excellent communication skills and a clear understanding of homelessness legislation are essential.
