Please note that there are no guaranteed hours for these posts. These posts are to cover for annual leave and other absences as and when required.
Working out of the Council’s Depot on Lincoln Way, Clitheroe, as a member of a refuse collection team, you will load refuse and paper/cardboard materials from all areas of the Borough. The work is to support the Council’s 3-stream waste collection that utilises both wheeled bin and sack collection systems.
You should be physically capable of undertaking repeated and frequent entries and exits of the cab of the refuse/paper collection vehicles and other vehicles and prolonged periods of walking and the carrying and lifting of materials and manoeuvring of loaded wheeled bins. You will assist in all aspects of the refuse collection service.
You should be a team player, flexible and reliable with a willingness to undertake any tasks which will contribute to the efficiency of the refuse collection and paper/waste recycling service.
