The Role
We are looking for an experienced Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist with a minimum of 3 years’ paediatric experience who can:
- Work confidently and independently
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based treatment
- Recognise red flags and refer appropriately
- Build excellent rapport with children and families
- Bring energy, creativity and genuine enthusiasm into every session
This role is ideal for someone who does not require close supervision and is confident with their clinical reasoning and decision-making.
Essential Requirements
You must:
- Have a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree
- Be HCPC registered
- Be fully CSP accredited with valid CSP insurance
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in paediatrics
- Have strong clinical reasoning skills
- Be confident working autonomously
Clinical experience required:
- Paediatric MSK conditions and sports injuries, including ACL injuries, Osgood-Schlatter disease, Sever’s disease, ankle injuries, back pain
- Paediatric neurological conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, SMA, Down’s Syndrome and Neurodevelopmental delay.
- Congenital conditions such as Developmental Hip Dysplasia, Talipes, Torticollis and related presentations
Desirable:
- Membership of APCP
- Experience in private practice
- Experience delivering fun, play-based therapy
- Confidence in liaising with schools, nurseries, care teams, GPs, consultants and multidisciplinary teams
