Ribble Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager or Deputy Manager to lead a newly established children’s residential home. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a home, embedding a strong culture of safeguarding, high standards, and child-centred care.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the service, recruiting and developing a skilled team, and creating a safe, nurturing, and aspirational environment where children and young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Ofsted registration process and maintain ongoing regulatory compliance
- Ensure the home meets the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Provide strong, values-led leadership, supervision, and development for staff
- Promote positive behaviour support and trauma-informed care
- Ensure robust safeguarding and safer recruitment practices are embedded
- Build positive professional relationships with children, families, and external stakeholders
- Confidently lead the home through Ofsted inspections, driving continuous improvement
You will:
- Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or working towards
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting within the last 5 years
- Have experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, regulations, and inspection requirements
- Be confident in opening and developing a new service
- Be resilient, child-focused, and committed to achieving positive outcomes
