Rate:

  • PAYE: Β£18.51 per hour
  • Umbrella/Ltd: Β£24.10 per hour

Contract: Temporary – 12 weeks (with potential extension)

The Role

Ribble Recruitment is assisting Southern Housing with the recruitment of experienced DLO Electricians to join their Direct Repairs team on a temporary basis. You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality electrical repairs and maintenance service to residents, internal teams, and partner organisations. This is a hands-on, resident-facing role requiring strong technical expertise and a commitment to safety and compliance. Occasional out-of-hours work will be required, offering the opportunity to increase earnings. A company van will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, inspections, and testing within residential properties
  • Undertake electrical surveys, inspections, and portable appliance testing (PAT)
  • Complete accurate reports and certification in line with regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all work complies with current wiring regulations and health & safety standards
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders
  • Support the wider Direct Repairs team to meet service targets

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Electrical Installation (must hold ONE of the following):

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation + AM2
  • City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2
  • City & Guilds 2330 Levels 2 & 3
  • City & Guilds 2365 Levels 2 & 3 + AM2
  • City & Guilds 2357 + AM2
  • Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification (2346) + AM2E

Inspection & Testing (must hold ONE):

  • City & Guilds 2391 – Periodic Inspection & Testing
  • City & Guilds 2395 – Inspection & Testing

Wiring Regulations:

  • City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition – 2018/2020)

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance and installation
  • Full UK driving licence (max 6 points, no serious motoring offences)
  • Minimum 2 years’ driving experience
  • Eligible to work in the UK
