Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager or an ambitious Deputy Manager ready to take the next step to lead a newly established children’s residential home. This is a rare opportunity to open, register, and shape a home from the ground up, embedding high standards of safeguarding, care, and child-centred practice from day one. You will be fully supported throughout the registration and development process and given the autonomy to build a strong, values-led service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or support the Ofsted registration process and maintain ongoing compliance
  • Ensure the home meets the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Provide strong leadership, supervision, and development to the staff team
  • Promote positive behaviour support and trauma-informed care
  • Ensure safeguarding and safer recruitment practices are robust and embedded
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals
  • Confidently support and lead the home through Ofsted inspections
  • Drive continuous improvement to achieve high-quality outcomes

About You

  • Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent (or be working towards)
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting within the last 5 years
  • Be an existing Deputy Manager ready to progress, or an experienced Registered Manager
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Ofsted frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Be confident in supporting the opening and development of a new service
  • Be resilient, child-focused, and values-led in your approach
