We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join a newly established children’s home. This is a unique opportunity to work with children and young people in a safe, nurturing environment, helping them achieve positive outcomes while supporting the home’s culture and routines. You will work as part of a supportive team, delivering high-quality care, promoting positive behaviour, and contributing to the day-to-day running of the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to children and young people in a residential setting
- Assist with implementing care plans, routines, and activities tailored to individual needs
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing using trauma-informed approaches
- Ensure the safety and welfare of children, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of care, incidents, and daily activities
- Support the team in creating a nurturing, structured, and aspirational environment
- Collaborate with colleagues, the Registered Manager, and external professionals
- Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings to continuously improve practice
About You
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care / Residential Childcare, or be willing to work towards it
- Have experience working with children or young people, preferably in a residential or care setting
- Be compassionate, patient, and committed to promoting positive outcomes
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be resilient, flexible, and able to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins if required
