The Role
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to develop literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons and learning activities
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create a calm, safe, and encouraging learning environment
- Preparing classroom resources and supporting enrichment activities, educational visits, and outdoor learning opportunities
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress and behaviour
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to ensure consistent support for every learner
- Supervising pupils during breaktimes and lunchtime periods
About You
- Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational, SEN, or care setting
- Are compassionate, patient, and adaptable, with the ability to respond to individual pupil needs
- Feel confident supporting both classroom-based learning and practical, creative, or outdoor activities
- Are proactive team players who enjoy collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive school culture
