Ribble Recruitment is assisting a North West local authority with the recruitment of experienced, permanent Social Workers across several Childrens Social Care teams. These are excellent opportunities to join well-established services with manageable caseloads, strong management support, and a genuine commitment to hybrid working.
Salary: £42,839 - £44,075 per annum (progression available)
Working Pattern: Hybrid working, typically 3 days per week in the office. Core hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. Emergency Duty Team covers out-of-hours.
Available Roles:
- 1 x Young Peoples Team (16-18 years)
- 2 x Children Looked After (CLA)
- 2 x Children with Disabilities (CWD)
- 3 x Child Protection
About the Teams:
- Child Protection & Children with Disabilities (CWD): Manage safeguarding concerns and children at risk of significant harm. Referrals progressed from MASH. Completion of Single Assessments within 35 days. Work includes CIN plans, Child Protection plans, and care proceedings. Strong multi-agency collaboration.
- Children Looked After & Young Peoples Teams: Manage cases subject to care orders or care proceedings. Close working with Fostering and Adoption services. Regular care planning meetings. Development of Personal Education Plans (PEPs). Supporting young people towards independence and transition to adulthood.
Candidate Requirements:
- A recognised Social Work qualification
- Social Work England registration
- Significant post-qualification experience in Childrens Social Care
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Willingness to complete compliance documentation, including DBS and confidentiality agreements.
