Pay Rate: £85.98 - £97.89 per day

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEN school in Whitehaven. This is a full-time position, starting immediately, working with a range of children from primary to secondary ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, helping them to achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom activities and deliver one-to-one or small group support as needed.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and support the social and emotional development of students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN is essential. This could be in roles such as a Support Worker, Teaching Assistant, Residential Support Worker, or Learning Support Assistant etc.
  • Qualifications in childcare or SEN are preferred but not necessary.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check for working with children, or willingness to apply for one.
  • Ability to provide professional references covering previous employment.
