About the Role

The Regional Engagement Partner (REP) is a key relationship and delivery role within RIBA London, responsible for building relationships with Chartered Members, Chartered Practices and volunteers, and turning those relationships into meaningful engagement and activity.

We are looking for someone who combines strong project and relationship management skills with confidence and credibility. They will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working autonomously, engaging senior stakeholders, maintaining and deepening institutional relationships, and moving projects from planning through to successful delivery. They will act as a confident advocate and ambassador for RIBA, able to present effectively, build trust with members and volunteers, and take ownership for delivering agreed outcomes.

Just as importantly, we are looking for someone who will contribute positively to the way the London team works: open and communicative, collaborative, flexible and adaptable, supportive of colleagues, enthusiastic and motivated.

What are we looking for?

  • Essential
    • Stakeholder Engagement - relationship management skills, with demonstrable experience of confidently building relationships with members, supporting volunteer networks, and engaging with multiple internal departments.
    • Project Management - strong project and delivery management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, organise activity effectively and take work from initial planning through to successful delivery and follow-up.
    • Accountability - personal ownership and autonomy, with the judgement and initiative to progress work independently, communicate effectively, solve problems, make appropriate decisions and remain accountable for agreed outcomes while working collaboratively as part of a wider team.
  • Desirable
    • Relatability - knowledge of architecture, the built environment or an adjacent sector, including an understanding of the pressures, opportunities and challenges affecting architectural practices and individual professionals.
    • Knowledge of RIBA, its structure and its role within the profession, or experience working successfully within a similar built-environment institution/professional body.

RIBA aims to be an inclusive employer, committed to building an authentic and diverse environment where all are encouraged to be themselves. We champion work/life balance and welcome requests for flexible working across our organisation. We value applications from all sections of society and appreciate divergent experience, therefore if you are excited about the role and working with us, yet your experience may not align perfectly with every single skill or competency, we encourage you to apply anyway.
