About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and resourceful team player to join the Exhibitions and Public Programmes team. This role supports RIBA’s House of Architecture cultural output by helping with the delivery and administration of a wide range of thought‑provoking talks, events and exhibitions related programmes. You will undertake a variety of administrative duties, including:
- Liaising with the marketing and content teams, other internal stakeholders, and external partners and speakers
- Managing online ticketing
- Booking travel for speakers
- Taking notes and actions for meetings
- Supporting evaluation of the programme
You’ll attend events, whether in London or elsewhere, helping ensure all run smoothly.
Qualifications
- Experience in a range of administrative duties within a cultural organisation
- Strong organisational and methodical skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and manage several tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written English, strong communication skills and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Interest in architecture and/or cultural programming, with a willingness to learn and develop in the role
- Ability to problem‑solve and work under pressure to meet deadlines, and willingness to work outside hours, including evenings as required
- Knowledge of and passion for contemporary and historic architecture
- Demonstrable experience in public and cultural event programming
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills, strong problem‑solving and attention to detail
- Very good communication skills and customer‑service awareness, with excellent interpersonal skills for working in a team
- Flexible approach to working hours, with ability to work evenings in support of events
- Good IT skills and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Interest in and experience of testing the boundaries of existing public programme formats to deliver innovative programmes, whether onsite, offsite, or online
- Knowledge of safeguarding requirements and procedures
- Knowledge of GDPR legal requirements
- Strong passion for both contemporary and historic architecture
