The successful Architect will work closely with the Head of Commercial Architecture during early project stages, supporting concept development, planning submissions and detailed design packages. Practice & Project Information
The practice is well established supporting long-term stability and collective responsibility. It is recognised for context-driven architecture and a considered approach to quality across all RIBA Stages. The Winchester-based commercial studio delivers projects across the residential, education and later living sectors. The studio maintains a supportive working environment with structured progression based on ability and contribution. Hybrid working is available, with three days per week required in the Winchester office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design and development of multi unit residential schemes, education and later living projects
- Work closely with the Head of Commercial Architecture during early RIBA Stages
- Contribute to concept design, planning applications and design development packages
- Run selected project elements through later RIBA Stages where required
- Coordinate with internal teams to maintain design quality and consistency
- Assist with technical detailing and production information
- Support consultant coordination across multidisciplinary teams
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to assist in successful project delivery
Required Skills and Experience:
- Part 3 qualified Architect with 2+ years’ post Part III experience
- UK project experience across relevant sectors
- Experience or strong interest in education, multi unit residential or later living projects
- Design-focused approach with strong attention to detail
- Good understanding of UK planning processes and building regulations
- Confident communicator and collaborative team member
- Experience using ArchiCAD is beneficial
- Right to work in the UK
