We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect / Job Runner to join our award-winning practice and play a key role within our dynamic design team based in our Stockport office. The successful candidate will work across a diverse portfolio of projects, including housing, retrofit, high-rise remediation, judicial and conservation schemes, taking responsibility for projects from early design through to delivery. This is a predominantly office-based role, offering the opportunity to lead projects through concept design, planning, Building Regulations, technical detailing, and specification stages. You will act as a key point of contact, coordinating with clients, consultants, and wider design teams, as well as attending meetings and undertaking site visits as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects from concept to construction-ready stages
- Prepare and coordinate planning, Building Regulations, and technical information
- Develop detailed design solutions, specifications, and construction packages
- Liaise confidently with clients, consultants, contractors, and statutory bodies
- Manage workloads, programmes, and deadlines effectively
- Support and contribute to the wider design team
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Strong concept and technical design skills
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control
- Confident communication and interpersonal abilities
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently
- Proven experience managing projects and meeting demanding deadlines
- Experience using Autodesk Revit (desirable; training and support available)
