We are seeking a motivated and engaged Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join our Sheffield studio. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across all our sectors, on a variety of interesting schemes on a national scale. You will support the delivery of projects from early concept through to technical design, contributing creatively and technically while developing your professional experience towards Part 3 qualification.
Qualities & Skills Required
- RIBA Part 2 qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong design sensibility with a good understanding of UK planning and building regulations
- Proficiency in relevant software (Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
Responsibilities / Deliverables
- Assist in the development of design proposals from concept to detailed design
- Produce high-quality drawings, visuals, and presentation material
- Support planning applications, design and access statements, and reports
- Assist with technical drawings and information package
- Carry out site visits and assist with contract administration tasks
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders
- Participate in internal design reviews and client meetings
- Help maintain organised project documentation and drawing registers
