Jay Ashall Partnership is a RIBA Chartered architectural practice based in Cheshire. We are seeking a newly qualified Architect or Part II Architectural Assistant to join our friendly and collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all project stages, working on a diverse portfolio that includes private one-off houses, larger residential developments, listed buildings and conservation projects, commercial schemes, and educational facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and develop design solutions to architectural challenges.
  • Prepare concept designs and presentation materials.
  • Produce sketches, working, and presentation drawings/models.
  • Assist with measured surveys and site reports.
  • Draft and amend concept and detailed designs.
  • Support the integration of technical and statutory requirements into drawings.
  • Contribute to planning, building regulations, tender, and construction documentation.
  • Attend site visits alongside the Project Architect.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong design and presentation abilities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be proactive, organised, and able to work on own initiative.
  • Team-oriented with a positive and motivated attitude.
  • Interest or experience in Twinmotion, Visoid, Photoshop, or other rendering software would be advantageous.
  • Due to the office location, a driving licence and access to transport are recommended.
