RIBA is a global professional membership body and a cultural organisation, driving excellence in architecture. This is a key role within RIBA’s marketing team, responsible for leading the development and delivery of marketing strategy and activity to support the growth, retention and engagement of our global membership.

You will oversee a significant portfolio spanning the UK and priority international markets, delivering integrated campaigns that drive measurable commercial and engagement outcomes. Working closely with stakeholders across membership, commercial and regional teams, you will help shape how RIBA communicates its value to architects worldwide. The role includes line management of a marketing team and responsibility for budget planning, performance reporting and continuous optimisation of marketing activity. As a senior member of the team, you will also contribute to broader marketing planning and deputise for the Director of Marketing where required.

Responsibilities:
  • You will oversee a significant portfolio spanning the UK and priority international markets, delivering integrated campaigns that drive measurable commercial and engagement outcomes.
  • Working closely with stakeholders across membership, commercial and regional teams, you will help shape how RIBA communicates its value to architects worldwide.
Qualifications:
  • Significant experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns, with responsibility for driving measurable growth or engagement outcomes.
  • Experience of contributing to marketing strategy, including translating business objectives into clear marketing plans and priorities.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM systems and data-led marketing approaches.
  • Proven experience managing and developing a team.
  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders in a complex organisation, with the ability to influence and build effective relationships.
  • Experience delivering marketing activity across international markets.
  • Experience working in a membership organisation or professional body.
  • Knowledge of the architecture, design or built environment sector.
  • Relevant professional marketing qualification (e.g. CIM).
