For nearly 80 years, Haigh Architects has built a reputation as a well-established RIBA Chartered Practice working throughout the Lake District World Heritage Site, National Parks and Cumbria.
We are seeking a RIBA accredited architect with Conservation experience to join our practice. You will contribute to designing new buildings in sensitive locations as well as leading refurbishments, alterations and extensions to country houses, barns and churches.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Personable, professional and competent in running jobs across all RIBA stages;
- A Conservation Specialist: Holding relevant qualifications, training, or experience working in Architectural Conservation;
- A sound knowledge and a genuine interest in architectural history, building conservation and traditional building techniques for projects of varying sizes;
- A confident technical designer with excellent attention to detail;
- A creative designer with evidence of a strong design portfolio with proven creative skills;
- Proficient in CAD (we use Vectorworks);
- Confident in their knowledge of planning and building control requirements;
- Experienced in contract and site administration;
- Confident working independently as well as collaborating within a team.

Office Hours: Monday to Friday - Core Hours 10-4:30pm, Contracted hours 37.5hours / week
