Vacancy 1 – Architectural Technician / Technologist
Exeter, Devon
£23,000 – £33,000 (Dependent on experience)
37 Hours per week (working 9‑5 with flexible working arrangements)
Main Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of architectural design services by contributing to technical outputs across multiple project stages.
- Produce accurate and high‑quality technical drawings, specifications, and construction information in line with project requirements.
- Prepare and submit Planning and Building Control applications, ensuring all statutory approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
Candidate Requirements
- Proficient in Revit (essential) with working knowledge of Autodesk 2D drafting software.
- Experience using the NBS Chorus specification platform is desirable.
- Strong design, technical, and construction understanding, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in project work.
- Good awareness of UK Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act, and general construction methods.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a design team, contributing positively to shared deadlines and project outcomes.
- Solid technical detailing skills relevant to both new‑build and existing‑building projects.
- A proactive and positive approach, with enthusiasm for learning, problem‑solving, and working as part of a team.
- Working toward CIAT or an equivalent professional accreditation is desirable, with training and funding support available to assist progression.
