Job Overview
A Conservation Architect is required to deliver bespoke private residential and heritage-led projects in London and across the UK. Suitable for an ARB-registered architect with at least five years' post-qualification experience, the role covers all RIBA stages and combines design development, technical detailing, client engagement and project delivery, with a focus on traditional construction, conservation principles and high-quality residential architecture.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead projects across all RIBA work stages
- Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications
- Manage client relationships throughout project delivery
- Coordinate consultants, contractors and project stakeholders
- Monitor programmes, budgets and technical compliance
You will take ownership from concept through to completion, working independently and within multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include maintaining design quality, managing resources and ensuring compliance with UK planning and building regulations.
Skills & Experience Required
- ARB-registered architect with at least five years' post-qualification experience
- Residential and heritage project delivery experience
- Strong traditional construction and technical detailing knowledge
- Experience across all RIBA work stages
- Contract administration and building contract knowledge
You will need strong communication, organisation and workload management skills, with confidence engaging clients and consultants. ArchiCAD knowledge is beneficial, alongside a willingness to learn new digital tools.
