MP Chartered Architects are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Senior Architect with over 5 years of practical experience working in the UK to join their friendly, enthusiastic Architectural practice based in the heart of Ongar in Essex. The candidate needs to have an excellent technical background and be comfortable on taking projects from inception through to completion.
We are seeking someone who is a team player, has good project management abilities, good social skills and is willing to take on the wide range of tasks that is required in a small office. The practice has an interesting range and selection of clients and projects ranging from house conversions and extensions, one-off private houses, residential developments, barn conversions and some larger-scale residential and commercial projects.
A Senior Architect with at least 5 years of post-Part 3 RIBA architectural design experience working in the UK. The ability to make strategic decisions and carry out new client visits and getting new work, to contribute to the development and business growth of the practice. Proficiency in Revit and Autocad. Ability to carry out feasibility studies, design proposals and construction detailing as well as experience running construction projects on site in RIBA stages 1-7. Proven design skills. Thorough understanding of planning and building control requirements and the ability to demonstrate experience of all RIBA project stages, administration of contracts, and site management of small – medium new housing developments. Competence to carry out the Principal Designer role under CDM and Building Regulations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with the architectural team as well as liaise with clients and external consultants, attending design team meetings, and ensure that the design projects are on schedule and in budget. Valid UK driving licence. Eligibility to work in the UK is required for this position.
