An award‑winning, RIBA‑chartered architectural practice with over three decades of experience is looking for a skilled Architect to join its Chichester studio. The practice is recognised for thoughtful, impactful design and a collaborative culture, working across a wide range of sectors with a focus on sustainability, community and design excellence. As part of the Architecture team, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering education sector projects, especially those involving Department for Education (DfE) frameworks and Construction Engineering & Management (CEM) processes, contributing to buildings that inspire and support learning environments.

Daily Duties

  • Lead and contribute to the design and delivery of education sector projects from early stages through to completion
  • Manage projects within DfE and CEM frameworks, ensuring compliance with standards and processes
  • Prepare architectural drawings, technical documentation and specifications
  • Coordinate with multi‑disciplinary teams, consultants, contractors and stakeholders
  • Attend client meetings, design reviews and site visits with clarity and professionalism
  • Support junior team members through mentoring and guidance
  • Ensure designs meet project goals, quality standards and client expectations

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Architect (e.g., RIBA Part II/III or equivalent) with strong UK experience
  • Demonstrable experience in education architecture, particularly within DfE and CEM processes
  • Excellent understanding of technical design, detailing and delivery stages
  • Confident communicator with ability to lead project teams and engage with clients
  • Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, BIM and other design tools
  • Passionate about sustainable design, with a collaborative and solution‑focused mindset
