LAPD Architects is an award-winning practice with a portfolio of high-end residential and commercial projects in the Oxfordshire countryside.
The successful candidate would join a fast-paced practice to work towards taking the lead on projects. This position is an opportunity for the candidate to grow with the practice and develop new skills. The office is an ideal environment for a part 3 ready candidate to get relevant experience and qualify with the support of the team.
Based in a rural location with good transport (road, car and rail) links the office is open to flexible ways of working.
Role & Responsibilities
- Understand and create appropriate drawings and specifications for architectural projects usingAutoCAD/Sketchup
- Lead projects from concept and planning through to completion
- Manage and take responsibility for the quality of your work with limited input from management team
- Take the lead on projects and manage project teams as appropriate
- Be a team player able to contribute to the practice\'s success.
Ideal Required Skills & Experience
- Experience ofworking in the UK
- Good communication skills to liaise with clients/staff and multi-disciplinary team
- Registered with the Architect\'s Registration Board (if qualified)
- Previous experience in residential, high-end residentialand small developer experience
- Experience working across all RIBA stages and familiar with the process
- understanding of building regulations and their application
