RIB is launching a new AI‑driven, cloud-native SaaS product that will set new standards in digital construction technology. Backed by over 60 years of expertise, we’re seeking a Senior Business Development Manager (m/f) with a strong startup mindset - someone who can shape processes, carve out market pathways, and position a brand‑new product in the UK & IE region even before case studies exist.

In this high-impact role, reporting directly to the Global Product Sales Director, you will play a pivotal part in bringing an innovative construction technology to market. Your contribution will help the industry adopt smarter, AI‑enabled workflows and advance the future of digital building.

Key responsibilities

  • Own enterprise new‑business sales and market entry across UK & IE region with full ownership of revenue generation for a new product in a small to mid‑size company environment.
  • Develop and manage relationships with contractors, developers, engineering firms, AEC organisations, government‑linked entities, and regional partners to support market adoption.
  • Manage long enterprise sales cycles involving multi‑stakeholder buying committees and senior decision‑makers across commercial, digital, and operational functions.
  • Represent the product vision confidently in early‑stage markets, including localising messaging and adapting value propositions to regional requirements.
  • Support market development through industry engagement and subject‑matter contributions.
  • Work autonomously across go‑to‑market development, sales execution, and customer‑insight generation.
  • Collaborate with global and cross‑functional teams to refine go‑to‑market strategy, sales processes, and market positioning.
  • Provide structured customer insights to inform product development and roadmap priorities.
  • Secure early flagship/lighthouse customers and establish a scalable, repeatable pipeline and sales methodology.

Essential requirements

  • Strong negotiation capability and sound commercial judgement.
  • Executive presence and confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to generate, manage, and coordinate multi‑stakeholder buy‑in across complex enterprise buying groups.
  • Advanced presentation, storytelling, and executive‑briefing skills.
  • Proven enterprise‑level hunter mentality, with strong relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to sell early‑stage, vision‑led SaaS solutions in environments with limited process maturity or enablement.
  • High resilience, cultural awareness, professionalism, and long‑term orientation.
  • Ability to operate independently and effectively in low‑structure, fast‑changing settings.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (min. Level C1).

Advantageous

  • Demonstrated enterprise SaaS sales experience, ideally within UK & IE Region.
  • Industry exposure across AEC, construction, infrastructure, engineering, construction technology, or BIM related domains strongly preferred.
  • Experience selling emerging or early‑stage solutions and introducing new products or categories to market.
  • Proven ability to operate independently and effectively in complex, developing, or greenfield markets.
  • Track record of building and developing new territories from the ground up.
