ZONE Architects are looking for a project Architect to join our team in north Edinburgh. Our current projects including a number of one-off houses, high-end residential alterations and interiors with values of between £0.5 and £3m. Our design work has an emphasis on low energy and bespoke, crafted construction.
We are looking for a talented architect with at least two years’ experience who has a strong understanding of construction detailing, particularly in bespoke residential work. We would expect proficiency with Autocad, Sketchup and rendering. You will be required to confidently liaise with and meet clients and builders. We would expect a bit of site and contract administration experience as independent job running with some supervision will be a key responsibility.
We work from a spacious, purpose-built studio and adhere to normal working hours with flexi-time, and our projects are properly resourced, with generally traditional contracts and builder relationships. We offer continuing professional development and opportunities for training.
Salary £37K to £40 plus benefits, and subject to negotiation.
